just too much to do

Well , by the grace of God and nothing else - we are in a new home in the country. 5 acres and a 2 acre stocked fish pond. The kids have never been happier, we are less than 3 miles from nana and papa and mamaw and papaw! This house needs alot of work, but it is going to be georgous when we are finished - so many things to do I don't know where to start! Currently Jonathan and I are putting wood floor in the family room and at the same time he decided that the stairs were hardwood floor so he ripped the carpet from those and began staining them! I scraped wall paper off the kitchen walls for 2 days and finally got that painted! We still are removing the mildewed carpet from the basement and trying to fix leaky sinks and showers. This house is way bigger than my old one and I realize that everytime I try to clean it and get projects finished too! The kids are loving school and I am still trying to deal with the daily differences between public and private school and being home and not working! I love that they like to ride the bus and not pack lunch but it breaks my heart for them to tell me not to wait outside for them to get off!
I guess they get bigger everyday and I get less cool! Nicholas is loving football this year and really learing his place on the field- he has decided that maybe he wants to go to Moeller next year- we'll see......

odds and ends

Well we are all with my parents! Jonathan and I have crammed all of our belongings with the exception of our mattress, pillows, and tv and several changes of clothes into 2 different storage units! We are living in a room that is smaller than our old bedroom, with a box fan, a mattress on the floor and our stuff is wedged in among all of my mom's antiques! It's not exaclty the ritz carlton by any means but we have a roof over our heads! Tomorrow we will be moving into a FEMA travel trailer my parents bought for vacations! We looked at a house last night, 4 bd 3 baths farm house with a fishing pond on 2 1/2 acres about 5 minutes from my parents! I think this may be the one - I pray this is the one we spoke with the owners who live in FL last night and they said we could move in in about a week or so... Hopefully our patience and marriage will last that long-lol! I keep telling myself I should count my blessings and not the negatives - the other day my grandma had to remind me once again - that someone out there has it worse!! I am trying very hard to not get the feelin sorry for myselfs but it grows increasing more difficult! I guess it is all in His plan and I have to BELIEVE that and What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?- I think I'll be Wonderwoman and Jonathan Superman after this!!
But after all the kids think it is too fun to stay with Nana and Papa despite what mommy and daddy think and my mom is really going to miss us - I'm pretty sure she loves having us here.

At the verge of gving up..

Well - I know that Blogs are typically for sharing good news but right now I have none to share! I am beginning to feel so hopeless, I don't know what to do, I have lost all hope and faith in people! As of next Tuesday, we will literally be homeless... We have the money for a house, but can't find anyone to rent us one! I guess I have noone to blame but mostly myself, but school is getting ready to start and I can't even register the kids! They have no idea what their address is or anything! I know everyone says to trust in the Lord and believe that he will help, do not worry and have faith! But I have really already lost faith in almost all of our family and friends, I am so disappointed in EVERYTHING right now! I have given up - Lord you have to show me what to do!!!!

Kitty Found!!! plus last weeks update!

O'Malley came home, starving and scared! She was so funny she came in ate and then ran into our room and assumed her nighttime position on our bed- I guess since she was out all night she thought we should be tired and ready for bed too! I forgot to add to this morning's post that baseball season at the Gordon house is officially over- Nicholas' team lost to Kings last night 13-0 it was a horrible way to end the season, but alas it is over! Nathan and Gabbi had their end of season parties last week too! Nathan's was at The Great Wolf lodge, the kids and I rode waterslides for 3 hours, WHAT A BLAST! Gabbi's was at the indoor baseball fields and we played parents v. kids - it was fun but just didn't compare to the Wolf Lodge! Next year Gabbi has decided she wants to play baseball for her Daddy, so she can win (her words)!!!

lost kitty

I haven't written in such a long time, I actually feel guilty! We got home last night from Nicholas' last bball game and dinner, when I sat down to watch GHI I realized that O'Malley hadn't come to greet us at the door and she wasn't coming to sit on my lap as usual when I sit down! After searching the entire house and walking the neighboorhood for 2 hours I finally realized she was really missing, it was a long night of tears and listening for her - so i've resorted to prayer!

Fun Day

Today we had a great day swimming at the Y with Chris and Darrin. Gabbi was so determined to pass the swim test she must've tried to swim the distance of the pool at least 25 times! LOL! All becasue she wanted to go down the slide! Daddy is on vacation next week so we'll have to go several times!
