Last Home Study

Well today was the final culmination of the past 4 months. Our last homestudy was this afternoon, all we have left to do it wait for a match and the call..... I have to take my CPR class tomorrow night, get a convertible car seat and a baby gate. I received the best compliment from our social worker today too- she said my nursery was the cutest she had ever seen. I know that God has a plan for all of us and I KNOW that he will find the right child for us...but the anticipation is killing me and I just wish he'd hurry (LOL).

the poor me's

Yesterday I started to get the poor me's (as Jonathan calls them). I can't even tell you why, I guess I looked back at the last 8 years of my life(becasue it was our anniversary). I began to think we have never been on a honeymoon or even a family vacation, we're driving 2 regular ole' cars (well 1 since mine is in the shop), we have a regular old house which needs some things, I feel like sometimes I have really let my self go, and after September 1 I am unemployed. then .. i thought about something Jonathan always says, someone out there has it worse than you. After 8 years of marriage, we have 3 wonderful children, a strong loving marriage, a roof over our head, and the joy of knowing that we have accomplished ALL of these things ALL BY OURSELVES!!! Jonathan and I were talking the other day about how we have gotten where we are by the Grace of God and our own hard work, we have NEVER been given ANYTHING! We paid for our own wedding, raised our own down payment for our house (working 2 jobs), bought everything we have with our own money! I guess when I look around we've come along way over the past 8 years and I know that the best is yet to come, there are MANY years in the future for fancy vacations and things, but right now I have to give God the glory for where we are and keep in mind I have it pretty good. Faith, Family and Love - these are the most important!

Monday

Just one of the those days... Got up went to the grocery store (with kids fighting) now trying to get motivated to get dinner started. Nathan and Nicholas are at Nicholas' practice (with my dad). Gabbi is at the park playing with her new found neighbor friend! Jonathan just told me I need to "blog" the grill so I'll continue later! Ok - well all the kids went to my mom and dad's Gabbi came back from the park and was mad that Nathan had left... So papa had to come get her! Tomorrow Jonathan and I will celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary - and so many people said it wouldn't last! I LOVE YOU HONEY! I guess we'll have to celebrate this weekend becasue Gabbi has a game tomorrow, Wednesday we have a home study, Thursday maybe a tourney game... We shall see ..

Saturday

Gabbi had a game this afternoon - her team won 7-1. She was 3 for 3 with 2 singles and a double. She played 3 2 innings, and 1st one inning and LC one inning. I just picked them up from Nana's and now thier all 3 playing wiffle ball in the backyard with the neighborhood kids. Tonight were gonna grill some hotdogs and hamburgers and enjoy the back porch with a little fire and some marshmallows....

Friday night...

Nicholas pitched another shut out against Clinton Massie tonight10-0, we are so proud of him. Next year we're putting him on a select team, I truly think he needs a bit more competition! Next baths and bedtime...Gabbi plays tomorrow in Blanchester at noon. Jonathan and I are watching Ghost Adventures, and trying to relax from a long week of work (well not me), baseball, softball and tball.
